Dave Gerber, DVM, AVA
-Dr. Gerber was selected as the Idaho Veterinarian of the Year for 2006 and was President of the Idaho Veterinary Medical Association in 1998. He graduated in 1978 and owned a VetEc Award-winning small animal practice for 14 years. In 1991, he was the first recipient of the Small Animal Practice Award granted by Washington State University.
-Currently, Dr. Gerber is president of the Northwest office of Simmons & Associates, where he does practice appraisals and brokerage. He is a frequent speaker on management and practice valuation topics.
Nikki Quenette, CPA, CMA
-Nikki Quenette is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Her husband is a veterinarian and, after assisting him to start a practice and working in the trenches of that practice, Nikki decided her passion is to help more veterinary business owners achieve success. She created Quenette Veterinary Consulting to achieve that goal.
-Nikki works with veterinary business owners who want to create and live their ultimate lifestyle. She helps owners achieve this with proper financial management and time management. These are accomplished through planning, putting systems in place, testing and measuring results. All of which creates improved cash flow, increased profitability, higher practice value, and provides the owner the option to take more time off away from work.
-She also is dedicated to helping the profession become more educated about the critical aspects of operating a successful business. To that end, she is an active member of VetPartners, the leading veterinary consulting organization in the nation, serving on the Board of Directors, Finance & Budget Committee, and its Veterinary Valuation Resource Council. Grodon Brumbaugh, DVM, PhD, DACVIM, DACVCP
-Dr. Gordon Brumbaugh is a Senior Veterinarian with Pfizer Animal Health, Cattle-Specialty Veterinary Operations. He earned a DVM from Kansas State University, a PhD from the University of Illinois; and is a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Large Animal, and a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology. In 2007, Dr. Brumbaugh became certified as an Editor in the Life Sciences (ELS). Professional activities include participation as a member of teams that review protocols for planned investigations; review of technical and promotional materials; training of personnel in field sales-force and veterinary operations; providing presentations at local, state, national and international meetings; training of Spanish-speaking influencers at feedyards, dairies and calf-ranchers.
-Before joining Pfizer Animal Health in April, 2004, Dr. Brumbaugh was an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine. His experience includes large animal clinical practice in private and in university practices; international consultation; international teaching of professional veterinary students and post-graduate students; research in several areas of large animal internal medicine, and veterinary clinical pharmacology.
Mark Kirkpatrick, BS, DVM
-Dr. Kirkpatrick is a graduate of Iowa State University where he received a BS in Dairy Science (85) and his DVM (89). He practiced 9 years in mixed practice in NE Iowa. He returned to Iowa State University as Food Animal Ambulatory Clinician and Veterinarian for the Animal Care and Use Committee at the College of Veterinary Medicine. In addition to providing veterinary services for the University's herds he was active in dairy extension, field investigations and student teaching in dairy production medicine. He graduated in 2000 with a MS in Veterinary Clinical Sciences examining comparative Johne's testing procedures. Based on a field investigation performed while at Iowa State he published a case report on Jejunal Hemorrhage Syndrome of Dairy Cattle. Dr. Kirkpatrick is a Collaborator with the Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine and is actively involved in VDPAM 484 (Senior Veterinary Student Dairy Rotation). Dr. Kirkpatrick is located in Kuna, Idaho and is employed by Pfizer Animal Health Group as a manager in the dairy veterinary operations group.

Richard Ford, DVM, MS
-Dr. Richard Ford is Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University in the Dept. of Clinical Sciences. He is Board Certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) and has been awarded status as an Honorary Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Preventative Medicine (ACVPM).
-Dr. Ford received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University. Dr. Ford completed a residency in internal medicine at Michigan State University. Subsequently, he accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Purdue University.
-Dr. Ford has published 5 books and numerous articles in the scientific literature pertaining to the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of infectious diseases in companion animals. He is a co-author on both the Canine Vaccine Guidelines (AAHA) and the Feline Vaccination Guidelines (AAFP). His clinical interests are in the area of companion animal infectious disease diagnosis, treatment,and immunization.
-Dr. Ford retired from the Air Force Reserve as a Brigadier General where he was assigned to the Office of the Surgeon General, the Pentagon.
Tim Murphy
-Tim Murphy was born and raised in northern Colorado and currently lives in Wellington with his wife and three children. Tim has been involved in emergency services for the past 15 years. Currently working for Poudre Fire Authority as a firefighter and HazMat Technician, Tim also responds with the CO-TF1 USAR Team as a Rescue Specialist.
Jim Houck
-Jim Houck is currently employed as a Fire Fighter/EMT with Poudre Fire Authority, He is a member of Colorado Task Force 1(CO-TF1) Urban Search and Rescue team, with additional responsibilities as the Canine Coordinator and a Canine Search Specialist. Before being employed by Poudre Fire Authority Jim Houck served in the United States Coast Guard. Jim Houck completed his Fire Fighter training at Broward Community College in Davie,FL. Jim Houck has also attended Cuyahoga Community College in Parma,OH and The University of Akron in Akron,OH. Jim Houck has 15 years experience in the fire and rescue services, particularly with reference to wildland firefighting, rope rescue, automobile extrication, marine firefighting, hazardous materials, Urban Search and Rescue,among others. Jim Houck now lives in Ft Collins,CO with his wife, their daughter and 2 dogs. When Jim Houck is not working, he likes to hike and mountain bike.
Doug Knueven, DVM, CVA, CVC
-Dr. Doug Knueven received his veterinary degree from Ohio State University in 1987 and has been small animal practitioner/owner in Beaver County, Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh) ever since.
-Dr. Knueven is certified in veterinary acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and chiropractic. He also has advanced training in natural nutrition, massage therapy and homeopathy. Dr Knueven has been practicing alternative veterinary medicine since 1993 and has written two books on the subject. His most recent book is entitled The Holistic Health Guide: Natural Care for the Whole Dog.
Rob Keene, DVM
-Rob Keene, DVM joined the Boehringer Ingelheim Equine Professional Services Team in 2008. Dr. Keene received his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from Montana State University in 1980. He attended veterinary school at Colorado State University and graduated in 1983. He began his practice career in California in an exclusive equine practice, focusing on herd health, reproduction and surgery. Since 1985, Dr. Keene has served as a consultant and technical services veterinarian for many veterinary and research companies prior to his current position. Rob serves on the advisory board for the equine sciences program at Montana State University and participated on various committees of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. Dr. Keene provides technical support for Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica throughout the United States and lives in Three Forks Montana.
Bob Stenbom, DVM
-Dr. Bob Stenbom is the Associate Director of Equine Professional Services at Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. He obtained his veterinary degree from the University of Illinois in 1978. He was involved in mixed practice for several years before focusing exclusively on equine practice. In 1992 he left practice for opportunities in industry, working for several companies prior to joining Boehringer Ingelheim’s equine team in 2000, where he heads a group of four veterinarians providing equine professional services support for Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica and its customers. His main professional interests include vaccine and pharmaceutical applications in the horse, particularly as they relate to equine sports medicine and performance horses. He has authored numerous articles and delivers dozens of presentations to both lay and professional groups each year on a variety of equine health topics. He resides in Apple Valley, MN.
